West Brook is a small family own winery, established since 1935. At West Brook, the emphasis is on producing wines from classical varieties that most suit the region; hence grapes are harvested from New Zealand’s leading wine regions of Marlborough, Hawke's Bay and selected sites in the Auckland region. West Brook is a boutique winery that combines traditional winemaking methods complimented by modern winemaking technology.


Barrique Fermented Chardonnay 2002 West Brook have consistently won medals with this fully barrel fermented Chardonnay. Michael Cooper (NZ most acclaimed wine writer) tasted it in May 2003 and comments that “its rich, citrusy and bone-dry.” This wine won Silver at the NZ Society Royal Easter Show 2004. With the additional time its now had it is showing its ripe grapefruit, pear and fig flavours with mealy and biscuity characters and a long, oak integrated creamy finish.



Sauvignon Blanc 2003 Won Bronze at NZ Wine Society Royal Easter Show 2004 and a 4-Star Cuisine Recommended wine. Classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc with lifted gooseberry and herbaceous characters and hints of citrus blossom on the nose. The balanced, powerful and complex palate is packed with gooseberry flavours and underlying nuances of honeydrew melon. The wine is long and flavoursome, the firm acid backbone assisting a lovely, refreshing, zesty and a powerful finish.
